As an “Expeditionary Artist,” I’m frequently asked, “what’s your next expedition?” Here’s a little update! I’m planning a quiet summer with family and friends after what’s been a whirlwind year of exhibitionstravel to Antarctica, launching the new Pocket Art Toolkit, and expecting a baby. She’ll be arriving anytime in the next few weeks (due date is officially June 28), so I’ll be a little quiet on the blog and social media front as I get to know the smallest member of our family. When I get back to my studio, I’ll be developing field work from the North Cascades and Antarctica for exhibit. I have some future expedition projects in the works as well (pending funding), and will be sure to keep you posted about what pans out.

Sketching in West Seattle with my friends Erin Pettit and Che Lopez

In the meantime, I’m looking forward to sketching in the beautiful Pacific NW! I’ve had a blast lately, getting out and around Seattle with friends.
