Studio Projects
Here’s a sneak peek at my studio, I’ve just finished a new painting! It’s a companion to my previously posted “Ice Floes“, another 20″ x 40” panorama. I had a fantastic whirlwind trip to Fairbanks last week and am happy to be home and painting. To make space for larger projects, I’ve cleared my brush storage from my desk and you can see my new hanging system made with finishing nails tacked into a thin wood strip on the wall. I’m pleased with the result. Happy Valentine’s day and I hope you have a fantastic holiday weekend.

What a great, and tidy workspace, Maria.
How are you clipping the work o the wall? I can’t quite make it out.
Best wishes…
Maria
Thank you, Zoe! I’ve stretched picture hanging wire between strips of wood that I mounted on the wall. I can easily clip sketches to the wire and I like how they hang in neat rows.

Thanks, Maria, I like the idea.

I love your work space especially all your brushes hung up. Easy to find the right one that way. But I can’t figure our how you hang them.

Thank you, Rosita! My brushes have small loops on their ends and they hang on small finishing nails. I’ll try to take a better photo of them and do a post on it soon.
