Last night was the fabulous opening for the Human+Nature exhibit at the Kirkland Arts Center. Thank you to everyone who came! The exhibit is the project Emerging Curator Anna Braden, a M.A. candidate in Museology at the University of Washington. She did a fantastic job organizing a group of a nine artists in different media around the theme of the marks left on nature by human endeavors, from simple ski tracks to oil spills. I recommend checking out Anna’s blog about her curation process. For the exhibit, I have a series of work from my Long Distance Migration project included, and Anna also created a beautiful display of my field sketching supplies. The show runs through April 3rd, I hope you get a chance to see it!
