Vanishing Ice Opening

The Vanishing Ice exhibition at the Whatcom Museum in Bellingham opens this weekend and runs through March 2, 2014. The exhibit explores polar and alpine landscapes from 1775-2012 and I’m honored to participate with a selection of my Mt. Baker paintings on view. The member preview is this Saturday, from 6-7:30pm, and the exhibition opens to the public Sunday, 12-5pm. In addition to the beautiful art (90 works from 12 countries), the museum is hosting a speaker series jointly sponsored by the North Cascades Institute. Dr. Kristin Laidre and I will be presenting our Imaging the Arctic project on Saturday, January 11th. I hope you have the opportunity to see the show!
