I’m preparing supplies for my Field Sketching with Ink and Watercolor workshop this weekend, sponsored by the Whatcom Museum. Each participant will receive a custom palette with 7 sample Daniel Smith paints, waterbrush, pen, and a snazzy laminated page of techniques. The palette is a prototype for an idea that I’ve had for a supplemental Art Toolkit mixing palette. I’m also excited about the typeface I used on the handout; I made it myself with the iFontmaker app!

There’s a few spots left for my workshop if you’d like to join me and try out these supplies yourself. We’ll start in the morning with sketching techniques and composition, then we’ll move on to watercolor sketching, spending time outdoors. All levels are welcome, this Saturday, August 10th, from 9:30am—4:30pm at the Whatcom Museum. Cost is $95 or $85 for museum members. To register, please call (360) 778-7000.
