It’s here once again, Polar Science Weekend! I love this event that is co-presented by the University of Washington’s Applied Physics Laboratory and by the Pacific Science Center. This is my 7th year participating and I always have fun with it. This year I have some paintings and sketches on exhibit, an activity for kids, and plenty of field sketching tips and techniques to share. I’m also giving a presentation today (Saturday) at 2:30pm. Come on down and say hello! You can also meet my Imaging the Arctic collaborator Kristin Laidre. She and her Arctic Biology students have a wonderful Mysteries of the Narwhal activity.
