In ink an watercolor sketch of a ferry deck and wheelhouse with landscape in the distance
Salish Ferry Upper Deck at Keystone, 5.5” x 8” ink and watercolor field sketch

My Washington State Ferries Artist-in-Residency wrapped up on Sunday! I had so much fun; everyone was incredibly friendly and gracious. It was a joy to be sketching on board and learning more about the ferry vessels, crew, and passengers. Highlights included painting in the wheelhouse, painting in the engine room, and meeting so many wonderful folks. I also enjoyed hosting two little sketching demos on Sunday, thank you to everyone who joined me!

I created a number of watercolor sketches in my Hahnemühle 100% Cotton Watercolor Book, filled a Moleskine Art Plus Japanese Album, and completed a number of larger ink and watercolor sketches. I’ll share them here as I finish scanning them!

For next steps I’ll be working in my studio to develop new art and a plan for exhibiting my art. I’m looking forward to sharing more soon!
