I did two small studies today as I planned more iceberg paintings based on images from the Antarctic Peninsula. Working small and quickly is fun and I’m exploring using thicker paint to create more texture. These small paintings will be scaled up to 36″ x 24″ and I hope to begin my large underpaintings tomorrow.
