Nature Journaling Workshop

1

Last weekend I had the pleasure of teaching a 3 day weekend workshop, Nature Journaling, for the North Cascades Institute (NCI). I was joined in La Conner, WA, by nine participants and Megan McGinty, a wonderful NCI naturalist and assistant. We spent the first day making hard bound journals, the second exploring Deception Pass State Park, and the third sketching around La Conner. It was great fun to see the range of books people made using different fabrics, papers, closures… and the delight everyone took in using their finished journals. Thank you to everyone involved for sharing the fun, Adam Lorio for the tide pooling tour, and NCI for supporting the workshop.
