I joined the North Cascades Research Project in 2007 to monitor glaciers in the North Cascades, Washington. We hiked in to Mt. Baker from Artist Point, traversing along Ptarmigan Ridge enroute to Camp Kaiser which would be our base camp for monitoring the Sholes glacier and Rainbow glaciers. I looked back over Ptarmigan Ridge, towards the summit of Mt. Baker.
