I joined the North Cascades Research Project in 2007 to monitor glaciers in the North Cascades (Washington state). We hiked in to Mt. Baker from Artist Point, traversing along Ptarmigan Ridge before arriving at Camp Kaiser, nestled below Coleman Pinnacle. The camp was our base for monitoring the Sholes glacier and traversing through Portels Pass to monitor the Rainbow glacier.
