I’ve been developing larger scale paintings inspired by my Greenland 2010 expedition. I’d love to hear what you think of them! Terns continue to fascinate me, especially as I learn more about their incredible endurance. These elegant birds make an annual bi-polar journey of 45,000 miles and over their lifetime, may fly 1.5 million miles which is equivalent to three round trip journeys to the moon!
Paul totally loves Storm Light. Is it available? I can’t wait to see your stuff live next month.
Thank you! Storm light is currently available- we can chat soon. More paintings to come…
I'd be delighted to hear from you.

This painting continues my themes of saturated colors and Arctic Terns.
This 5″x5″ sketch is inspired by my travel along the NE Greenland coast.
The incredible migration of Arctic Terns between the Arctic and Antarctica continues to inspire me.
Love these, Maria! The light in both tells the day’s story.Beautiful!
