When I spoke with Maria in Iceland on Monday night, she was very excited to finally be going out in the field, and to work with such a friendly group of scientists. Our deepest thanks to everyone who has contributed in any way to Maria’s High Latitudes expedition. I’ll be sure to update this blog if I hear from her while she’s in Greenland.

I'd be delighted to hear from you.
This is the first in a series of paintings exploring Arctic Terns’ movement.
This painting continues my themes of saturated colors and Arctic Terns.
This 5″x5″ sketch is inspired by my travel along the NE Greenland coast.
The incredible migration of Arctic Terns between the Arctic and Antarctica continues to inspire me.
The more I zoom out the more it looks like the middle of nowhere!I bet there are alcids aplenty, and that time of sunset varies a lot from one day to the next.
